Small restaurants have to rely on customers to show up on time when they make a reservation, and that’s never been more critical than it is now with occupancy cut about in half because of social distancing. Yet people continue to make reservations and arrive late or don’t even show up, restaurateurs say. It’s a critical problem post-shutdown, Ben Smith of Tsunami and Jason Severs of Bari say.

And hey, who’s up for early bird dining? Getting an early seating in each night could dramatically improve the bottom line as restaurants struggle to stay afloat. Have a listen and think about what you can do to keep your favorite places going.
