When restaurateurs Andy Ticer and Michael Hudman received a survey from the Michelin Guide team, they initially thought it might be someone playing a prank.
“We got the survey maybe over the summer,” Hudman said. “I kind of thought somebody was messing with us. ... We filled it out for Andrew Michael (Italian Kitchen) and Hog (& Hominy), and three weeks ago, we got an invite for what I’m guessing is Andrew Michael.”
But in actuality, both Andrew Michael and Hog & Hominy were honored by Michelin during an event Monday, Nov. 3, announcing the guide’s inaugural restaurant selections for the American South.
