What Daily Memphians think*

“It was flawless and a test for things to come. They had six months to book a festival that is usually booked a year in advance. All up from here.” — Colin Butler about Herrington: The inaugural Riverbeat is over, but the conversation has just begun

“At half the capacity it clearly had to be something different. I am glad that Mempho Presents stated they didn’t try to replicate the Beale Street Music Fest. This is now a city music festival event, and should be planned as such. I am sad they couldn’t fill the 22,000 capacity. …” — Ivan Gerling about Herrington: The inaugural Riverbeat is over, but the conversation has just begun

“The new mayor reppin' our city at the festival was a solid showing. Memphis needs a leader who is strong, present, and in touch with our community. #respect” — Joshua Anderson about Herrington: The inaugural Riverbeat is over, but the conversation has just begun
