In November, Flames Mediterranean Grill opened next to Domino’s at Walker, and just last week I heard about Happy Greek Café, directly across the street, almost at the south end of the Highland Strip. -
Food After two years, it only took a can of cat food to catch wily chow
For more than two years and possibly closer to three, a black chow roamed Summer Avenue. He visited Walgreens at the corner of Perkins and Summer, hung around in the Aldi parking lot just west of the intersection, and finally settled on Elwood’s Shack as his go-to at meal time.

Food News The Kitchen at Shelby Farms to close at end of 2018
Shelby Farms Park plans to fill the restaurant space next to the FedEx Event Center as soon as possible. The Kitchen has occupied the space since it opened in 2016 but will close at the end of the year. -
Reviews Restaurant Iris bears a different bloom in new season
In April, Restaurant Iris turned 10 and in June, owner Kelly English shut it down for a complete re-do, the kind where walls get knocked down and menus tossed out. It was a gamble, a throw of the dice. Iris was beloved as it was and after my first visit, I wondered if the coin was going to land heads up. -
