Memphis City Council members could take final votes Tuesday, March 6, on a set of six police reform ordinances. The proposals are surrounded by a debate about crime in Memphis.

In the 1980s, juvenile offenses were mostly crimes like shoplifting, petty theft and auto thefts. Now, children currently held in detention are accused of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, carjacking, rape of a child and other crimes.

It was a magnificent day for Memphis basketball. Right up until Houston hit the winning shot. On a day when Tiger basketball conjured that magical feeling once again.
