Tiger fans demand more than a 10-3 season that ends like last year’s did with a win against a power-conference team, Iowa State, in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.

The Memphis Tigers are bowl eligible for the 11th straight year. Here is a look at where some national websites are saying Memphis could end up.

Battle for the Bones

The Battle for the Bones is a longtime rivalry between the University of Memphis and the University of Alabama Birmingham. The Tigers claimed the trophy, a bronze rack of ribs, Saturday night. Photographer Wes Hale was there to capture the action.

The seniors led the way as Memphis smoked UAB in the Battle for the Bones in front of an announced crowd of 24,225 fans at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.

The Tigers (8-2) will play host to UAB on Saturday as they try to get one step closer to a 10-win season.

Barnett, a fifth-year senior, has appeared in 30 games in his four seasons as a Tiger.

Cooper Jones and Katherine Sulentic will serve as deputy athletics directors under the Tigers’ new AD. Sulentic comes to Memphis after 14 years as the NCAA’s associate director of enforcement, investigations and processing.

The Memphis Tigers are two victories away from reaching 10 wins in back-to-back seasons for the first time in school history.
